Architect and PhD in "Innovation and Heritage". The themes of his research "congiugnere il finto col vero - Geometry and architecture in the fake dome by Andrea Pozzo in Rome" (tutor Prof. Spadafora), involve the illusory representation of architectural space, with particular reference to the analysis of fake domes by Andrea Pozzo. He deepened the analysis of the treatise Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum and its inclusion in the history of codification of the perspective method. Since 2006 in the Department of Architecture of Roma Tre University, he has been collaborating in teaching, as an expert of "Fundamentals and applications of descriptive geometry" (Prof. Spadafora). Since 2013 he has been an employee of the National Research Council at the Institute of Marine Engineering (CNR-INM).
He collaborates with the Italian Institute of Conservation and Restoration (Prof. Fabbretti) for the joint studies of the artworks by Andrea Pozzo.

Alessio Bortot graduated in architecture at the Iuav University of Venice in 2006. Since 2016 he has been a PhD in Architecture, City and Design, specializing in Representation at the Iuav. He was adjunct professor in ‘Fundamentals and applications of descriptive geometry’ at the Iuav, at the University of Padua and professor in ‘Naval modeling’ at IED in Venice. He has participated in national research projects (PRIN 2010-2011: Architectural perspectives, digital preservation, dissemination and study - national coordinator prof. Riccardo Migliari) and international programs (James Turrell. Roden Crater Project; Jean François Niceron. Catoptric perspective and artificial magic, coordinator prof. Agostino De Rosa).
Since 2018 he has been a research fellow at the VIDE Laboratory of the IR.IDE research infrastructure at the Iuav with a research entitled ‘Digital stereotomy, historical analysis and new developments in contemporary design’. In 2021 he became associate professor at the University of Trieste.

Engineer and Architect, he graduated with honours in Building Engineering - Architecture in Catania in 2019 with the thesis "H-BIM and Artificial Intelligence. From Survey to the design of a DSS for villa Zingali - Tetto and the collections of the Museum of Representation." (Tutors: C. Santagati, M. Galizia, M. Lo Turco, M. Calvano, A. Mondello).
Since 2017 he has been collaborating in the research activities of the Laboratory for Architectural Photogrammetry and Surveying "Luigi Andreozzi" and in the initiatives of the Museum of Representation and the University Museum System of Catania.
Since 2018 he has been Teaching Assistant in the courses "Architectural Design II and Laboratory", "Parametric Modelling and Digital Survey" and "Drawing" of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Catania.
In 2020 he is Visiting PhD at the research centre STARC (The Cyprus Institute) and collaborates in the European research project "Urban PERIsCOPE".
In 2022 winner of the BEST PAPER AWARD - 3D-ARCH 2022 - 9th International Workshop 3D-ARCH 3D Virtual Reconstruction and Visualisation of Complex Architectures. PhD Candidate at DICAr (University of Catania) (Tutors: M. Galizia, C. Santagati, I. Caliò), where he is working on a thesis on expeditious methods for urban surveying and parametric modelling (City Information Modeling) aimed at analysing urban seismic vulnerability.
He is an expert in Computational Design with applications involving Digital Survey, Artificial Intelligence and BIM with particular focus on cultural heritage.

Architect, PhD in Sciences of Representation and Survey at the DSDRA of Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis entitled “Reason and Intuition in Perspective Illusionism” (superv. L. De Carlo, R. Migliari) focusing on the relationship between perception, perspective and illusionism and the work of Andrea Pozzo. He took part in the National Critical Edition of Piero della Francesca’s “De prospective pingendi” (coord. M. Dalai Emiliani) and research on treatises between the 15th and the 18th century, with a particular focus on the unpublished manuscript “Trattato di ottica” by Matteo Zaccolini (ca. 1620), the treatise “Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum” by Andrea Pozzo and the “Perspectiva horaria” by Emmanuel Maignan. Since 2016 he has been teaching and researching at the Department of Architecture of the Roma Tre University, where he was a Research Fellow (coord. G. Spadafora); since 2018, he has been researching on Palazzo Spada in Rome (coord. L. Farroni). In 2020 he was awarded a grant from the Programme for Advanced Studies on the Baroque Age and Culture of the 1563 Foundation for Art and Culture of the Compagnia di San Paolo. Since 2022 he has been Assistant Professor at Roma Tre on the topic of cultural heritgae digitisation.

Alessandro Meloni, PhD Candidate in Architecture (University of Genoa, Department Architecture and Design, XXXV cycle), is graduated in Architecture (2018). His research focuses on the multisensory perception of space, with the aim of highlighting the most influential characteristics on the interpretation of architecture even for users with visual disabilities with regard of gender differences. He conducts seminars and teaching support activities in the course “Fundamentals and practices of representation” at the University of Genoa. He is author of articles and speaker at conferences on scientific foundations and the perception of architectural representation.

Architect, graduated with honours in Florence in 2009 with a thesis on the survey of the sacristy of S. Spirito, aimed at researching architectural modules and proportions and studying the geometric genesis of the dome (supervisors: M. Scalzo, C. Crescenzi). In 2012 she won a 12-month research grant with a project on the survey and cataloguing of Umbrian architectural heritage at risk (tutor: P. Belardi). The following year she attended a post-graduate course (Master) in “Open source technologies for cultural heritage”, deepening her knowledge of 3D modelling thanks to an internship at the CNR-ITABC in Rome (tutor: E. Pietroni) and working on a thesis on the “Virtual Museum of the Tiber Valley: the building typologies of the Augustan Age”. Since 2021 she is PhD in History, Representation and Restoration of Architecture with a thesis on the spatial study of Piranesi’s Carceri (tutors: L. Carnevali, M. Fasolo, L. Baglioni). She is currently (2022) a research fellow at the Roma Tre University for the survey and historical documentation of the archaeological area and Mithraeum of Palazzo Barberini (tutor: G. Spadafora).

Sandra Mikolajewska earned her Ph.D. from the University of Parma in May 2021 (supervisor: Prof. Andrea Zerbi). Her dissertation focuses on digital technologies for the documentation, conservation and valorization of Cultural Heritage, with an application to the Farnese Theatre in Parma. In September 2021, she received the “Gaspare de Fiore” 2021 UID Award for the best ICAR-17’s Ph.D. Thesis of the year.
Her research deals with Survey and Representation, with particular attention to the methodologies for the three-dimensional modeling of cultural assets and to the multimedia technologies for the valorization and communication of Cultural Heritage.
Since 2019, she collaborates with Monitoring Analysis and Diagnostics of buildings and structures Laboratory (MADLab). In 2021, she participated in the “Existing Building Information Modeling for the management of existing building” research project. Currently, she is a short-term research fellow at the University of Parma (Department of Engineering and Architecture).

Architect, PhD in Civil Environmental Engineering and Architecture at the Universities of Trieste and Udine (interuniversity) with the thesis entitled "Tactile representations of painting and architecture: geometric reconstruction of the Church of Sant'Ignazio in Gorizia and prospective restitution of the mural fresco" (tutor prof. A. Sdegno, co-tutor prof. F. Crosilla). In 2020, she won the Silver Plate "Gaspare de Fiore" at the 42nd International Conference of Teachers of Representation / Congress for the Unione Italiana per il Disegno (UID).
From 2021, she is assistant professor for the SSD ICAR/17 – Drawing at the Polytechnic of Engineering and Architecture (DPIA) of the University of Udine.
She is an expert in prospective restitution of painted architecture, international treaties and inclusive tactile representation for cultural heritage through new technologies.

La sua ricerca è rivolta alla geometria descrittiva, la sua storia e le sue applicazioni, con particolare interesse nel suo rinnovamento per mezzo dei metodi digitali della rappresentazione. Dal 2017 al 2020 è stato Responsabile delle Attività di Ricerca e Didattica del laboratorio LiraLAB del Dip. SDRA di Sapienza University of Roma.

Laureata in storia dell'arte presso l'Università degli Studi di Roma Tre, ha sostenuto una tesi in storia del disegno, dell'incisione e della grafica (2007), sull'opera grafica di Simon Vouet durante il suo soggiorno romano.
Ha partecipato a progetti di catalogazione di stampe e disegni in Inghilterra, presso il Prints and Drawings Department del British Museum (database Merlin) e in Francia, presso il Musée Condé (database Joconde). Le sue ricerche vertono sul mercato delle stampe e sulla produzione degli artisti francesi presenti a Roma tra Cinquecento e Seicento.

Laurea in Giurisprudenza (2001) e in Storia dell'arte (2006), ha completato la sua formazione di dottorato presso il Centro di Studi sulla Cultura e l'Immagine di Roma (2010) e al Kunsthistorisches Institut di Firenze (2012) con una borsa di studio Formazione per Professore Universitario. Dottoressa di ricerca, menzione europea in Storia dell'arte presso l'Università Complutense di Madrid con la tesi "Usi e applicazioni del trattato di Andrea Pozzo, Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum (Roma 1693-1700), in Spagna" (2016).

Disponibilità al supporto scientifico, ricerca dei trattati in ambito italiano, con particolare riferimento all’Italia del sud.
Dopo aver conseguito la laurea in Architettura presso l’Università degli studi di Palermo si è specializzato in Storia dell’Arte Medievale e Moderna presso la LUMSA di Roma. Ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Teoria e Storia della
Rappresentazione presso l’Università di Catania con una ricerca sulle finte cupole in Sicilia e Malta.
Ha ulteriormente approfondito i suoi studi sulle finte cupole e soprattutto sui trattati di prospettiva ovvero di architettura in cui sono stati illustrati i metodi di rappresentazione delle cupole, e in particolar modo per quanto riguarda il patrimonio siciliano.
Ha diretto la campagna di inventariazione dei beni OA dell’arcidiocesi di Agrigento e attualmente sta dirigendo quella per l’arcidiocesi di Monreale, insieme a quella della diocesi di Piazza Armerina, dove inoltre svolge attività di consulenza scientifica come storico dell’arte ed è direttore scientifico della Pinacoteca Comunale.

Laurea in Ingegneria dell’Informazione (Università di Siena), Ph.D. in Scienze Informatiche (Università di Pisa), dal 2013 Marco Potenziani afferisce al Visual Computing Lab (ISTI-CNR) di Pisa, per il quale attualmente ricopre la carica di ricercatore.
Specializzato in Computer Graphics, i suoi interessi di ricerca spaziano dalle metodologie di visualizzazione interattiva di dati 2D/3D complessi, alle tecniche pubblicazione web di contenuti digitali ad alta risoluzione.
Ha partecipato a diversi progetti di ricerca nazionali ed internazionali indirizzati ai campi del Data Publishing, della Scientific Visualization, e delle Digital Humanities. È titolare dell’insegnamento “Grafica 3D per i Beni Culturali” del corso di Laurea in Informatica Umanistica dell’Università di Pisa, collabora con la rivista internazionale “ACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage”, per la quale ricopre la carica di Associate Editor, e partecipa alla valutazione dei bandi MiSE – FCS in qualità di esperto CNR.
